443 GREENWICH STREET, NEW YORK

Originally built in 1884 as a book bindery, CetraRuddy Architects took on the job of restoring and adapting 443 Greenwich into 53 unique and luxurious residences. The resulting design of this project, inspired by the original architectural details and the grand proportions of the existing structure, truly celebrates and brings back to life the original construction. At the same time, it introduces distinctive, crafted details that complement modern materials and distinguishes its residential adaptation. The design also places an emphasis on natural light by introducing CAOBA's custom-made narrow profile arched double-hung windows, double-height spaces, and views of the spacious and lusciously landscaped courtyard. The project was finished in 2014 and since then it’s been attracting quite a bit of high-profile interest thanks to its low-profile location, luxurious lofts, and wealth of amenities.

The restoration and adaptation of the building didn’t go unnoticed. In 2014 it was announced as a finalist for Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year Awards and in 2016 once again for NYC's x Design Award.
